Get Creative with varied types of vintage patterns by Spinsters Emporium
So I knew I had to get there quick before it all got carted off to the carboot.
I spent all day looking through all her lovely vintage treats that she no longer wanted with a huge grin on my face like a little girl again. I picked out my favourite trinkets and jewellery but was disappointed that all her vintage dresses did not fit me. I was gutted, until my grandma showed me her vintage dress making patterns that she had collected over the years and never got round to using. She suggested I make my own dress to my size, which I thought was a great idea. But I would still need to find some stunning vintage fabric to make it out of. As I got it out of the bag I realised it was an old pair of curtains, I thought to myself this will be perfect. After showing my gran she told me I was more then welcome to them, I was so pleased.
A few weeks later I had followed one of the vintage dress making patterns to creating an adorable vintage dress using the curtains. It received no end of compliments, even my gran was impressed. This made me want to create more dresses for myself and friends. I am now always on the look out for vintage dress making patterns or vintage fabrics to create another vintage dress with.
