What glue to use to stick metal to metal?

I have these clip-on earrings that are really cute, and I'm going to try and turn them into pierced earrings. I have to take the clip-on part off and the attach an earring post to the back. I was thinking about using hot glue, but since both surfaces are metal, I'm pretty sure it would work.

hot glue would probaly work but if not gorilla glue will . its at hardware stores for like 5 bucks
